A semester of research, workshops, and conferences!
Two parallel programme on:
The programme will bring together world experts and young researchers on the respective fields.
The parallel programme will further inspire exchanges and cross-fertilization of ideas.
We are welcoming applications from researchers all over the world!
Postdoctoral fellowships:
We are advertising several postdoctoral fellowships for the programme. Postdoctoral fellows will be in residence for the entire programme and assist in running the thematic semester programme. The salary will be commensurate with international standards
Research fellowships:
The research fellowships are targeted towards researchers who are interested in the programme but do not qualify for the postdoctoral fellowships (either because they are more experienced or because they plan to attend for a shorter duration). All such researchers should apply for the research fellowships. The research fellowships come in two varieties.
Long-term positions:
These are salaried positions for researchers who will be in residence for a considerable part of the semester programme (exact details TBD). The salary will be commensurate with one's salary at their home institution.
Short-term positions:
Short-term visitor positions are for researchers who will be in residence for at least 21 days or longer. Preference will be given to those who intend to attend for longer periods. LMSI will provide support for accommodation and 4500 INR per diem will also be provided. For context, 4500 INR (~50 USD, ~45 EUR) is sufficient to cover one person's 1-day stay (accommodation as well as meals) in Mumbai.
Eligibility and visa requirements:
For all of the advertised positions, we welcome applications from the global mathematical community. Please note that in order to take up these positions, those who are not citizens of India will require an appropriate visa. In particular, postdoctoral fellows and long-term visitors will require an employment visa while short-term visitors will require a business visa.
